Federal Government Cuts Health Grants and Grantees File Litigation in Response

Since President Trump took office, his Administration has been slashing funding across the federal government, including terminating or freezing already-awarded grants. Much of this campaign to eliminate government spending has been led by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) (for more about DOGE, read a recent Health Care in Motion describing its formation and early activities). At the same time, hundreds of federal health-related grants provided by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have been suddenly cut off, with vague language as to why and no notice or lead time for grantees.
