The inaugural Food is Medicine Symposium for the state of Indiana will be held on April 25, 2017. Featured will be strategies that have been successful around the country as well as in Indianapolis to improve health outcomes and lower healthcare costs using the Food is Medicine approach.
Food is an effective component of preventive health care for those who are undernourished or at risk for diet-related chronic health conditions and can significantly reduce hospital readmissions and stays.
