In the 2019 State of the Union, the Administration announced a plan to end the HIV epidemic by 2030. But advocates have expressed grave concern that the current US human rights climate presents serious obstacles to achieving this goal, despite tremendous scientific advances that should make it possible. In this lunchtime session, Naina Khanna, executive director of Positive Women’s Network-USA, will discuss the importance of rights-based approaches in the HIV response.
