Keynote speaker: Professor Abbe R. Gluck (Yale Law School, Yale Medical School).
The ongoing Braidwood litigation presents an opportunity for the US Supreme Court to reconsider the nondelegation doctrine, the role of the appointments clause of the Constitution, and the scope of religious liberty pursuant to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) in the context of sexual and reproductive health care.
Elizabeth Kaplan, Head of Health Care Access at CHLPI, will speak on the panel “Braidwood, USPSTF, and the Health Equity Implications of Losing Free Access to Preventive Care”
Symposium panels will explore the nondelegation doctrine and agency authority, preventive healthcare access, and the public health consequences that would likely result from Braidwood.
