Hepatitis C is now curable, yet remains the number one communicable disease killer in our country, killing more people than the next sixty communicable diseases combined. There are many reasons why treatment remains out of reach for so many people living with HCV – with one of the most significant reasons that health systems from state Medicaid programs to Departments of Correction have erected unprecedented barriers to treatment. The webinar will focus on efforts to address unfair and discriminatory treatment access restrictions. It will explore the steps necessary to turn the promise of the HCV cure into a reality for all.
