On June 25, 2015, the Supreme Court upheld the subsidies for healthcare plans provided to individuals through federally-run health insurance exchanges. This landmark decision preserves healthcare access for up to 12 million Americans and keeps the Affordable Care Act (ACA) intact. It is the most significant healthcare decision to be decided within the last several years.
Join presenters from the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation at Harvard Law School (CHLPI) on Monday, June 29 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. ET for an analysis of the Supreme Court’s decision on King v Burwell, which has far-reaching implications for the ACA and for access to health care for lower income individuals. CHLPI’s executive director and staff attorney will break down the opinion from the Supreme Court, what it means for the ACA and how it will impact states and individuals. The webinar will also speak to the new regulatory requests community advocates should consider now that the threat to the ACA has passed. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the webinar.
This webinar is sponsored by HIV Health Reform, the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation at Harvard Law School and the HIV Prevention Justice Alliance.
