FLPC recently hosted the first webinar in a series of online events to discuss the most equitable and effective policy options for reducing the consumption of foods and beverages high in added sugar. These events are part of the “Approaches to Reducing the Consumption of Sugar” initiative, supported by Arnold Ventures.
The webinar, titled “Food Policy for Greater Health Equity,” was held on December 11, 2020. Speakers included:
- Julie Ralston Aoki, Director of Healthy Eating and Active Living Programs, Public Health Law Center, Mitchell Hamline School of Law;
- Sara Bleich, Professor of Public Health Policy, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Carol K. Pforzheimer Professor, Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study;
