CA issues historic ban on four food additives and dyes – here’s why that matters

In a first-in-the-nation move, California has officially banned the use of Red Dye No. 3 and three other chemicals used in food.

Governor Newsom signed the law this month and it’s now putting the spotlight on the use of other artificial colors and chemicals that the FDA is supposed to regulate.
