Food Is Medicine Massachusetts (FIMMA) Panel Discussion on MassHealth’s HRSN Program.

Community Servings
March 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Zoom

Nutrition service providers from across the spectrum and the State, serving as active participants in the Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Program, will share their insights on the recent transition from Flexible Services to the new HRSN framework that took effect on January 1.

Under the new framework, these services are transitioning from a grant-like system to an approach that more closely resembles a healthcare benefit, posing exciting opportunities and challenges for integrating medically appropriate nutrition services into the Massachusetts Medicaid system.

Panelists will discuss the successes and challenges they’ve encountered in the early months of this shift and how it affects MassHealth beneficiaries’ access to nutrition services. This convening is also an excellent opportunity to learn about ongoing advocacy efforts to improve the program.

Don’t miss out on this chance to hear directly from those shaping the future of nutrition services in Massachusetts!
