Food Loss and Waste as a Violation of the Right to Food: A Case Study in Pakistan

Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic
April 3 @ 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm
Harvard Law School, Wasserstein Building, WCC 2036, Milstein East A

In 2019, the Lahore High Court in Pakistan declared that the government’s inaction in implementing laws and policies to mitigate food loss and waste violated the Constitutional right to food.

Join us as we hear from a petitioner in the case, Hafsa Ahmad (LLM ’24), the barrister who argued the case, Muhammad Ahmad Pansota, and others about this seminal case that tied government action in reducing food loss and waste to the right to food.
