In 2019, the Lahore High Court in Pakistan declared that the government’s inaction in implementing laws and policies to mitigate food loss and waste violated the Constitutional right to food.
Join us as we hear from a petitioner in the case, Hafsa Ahmad (LLM ’24), the barrister who argued the case, Muhammad Ahmad Pansota, and the author of the judicial opinion, the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jawad Hassan, about this seminal case that tied government action in reducing food loss and waste to the right to food.
This event is both in-person and on Zoom.
