Learnings from Illinois Community Health Worker Roundtables: Recommendations for the Implementation of the Community Health Worker Certification and Reimbursement Act

With the passage of the Community Health Worker Certification and Reimbursement Act (the Act), the state of Illinois has begun an exciting new chapter in expanding access to CHW services. Questions remain, however, about the training, certification, and reimbursement of CHWs under the Act. This panel will share recommendations for the implementation of the Act, compiled through a series of roundtable discussions with Illinois CHWs and the people that train, employ, and collaborate with them.
